About

Bridget Watt has always had a special connection with animals. As a child she had many different pets, and cared for several pets in the neighborhood. She got her first experience with entrepreneurship at just 12 years old. Bridget put ads for pet sitting in her church bulletin, and her Dad’s workplace newsletter. After a while she had a group of pets that she was watching in her parents home on a regular basis. She continued to pet sit throughout college and beyond. While in college she worked for a local pet sitting and dog walking service and absolutely fell in love with the job.

She worked in the field of promotional marketing before and after she earned her Bachelors degree in Communications. Bridget always wanted to start her own business but also wanted to pursue her dream of working with animals. She knew most people did not like boarding their dogs at kennels or vets offices when they went away. She had the pet care experience and business knowledge, along with her strong love and passion for animals, so in 2006 she decided to start up Friends of Fur Pet Care. Her love and knowledge of caring for pets has put her on top in the pet sitting industry. Please read our client testimonials and reviews on our Facebook page to see what people are saying!

Bridget is also very lucky to have formed relationships with a few fellow sitters who are always on call to help out during busy times, when she is away, or in case of an emergency. Although her husband Aaron does not run the business with her, he is always there to lend a hand when need be and has formed close bonds with many of the regular furry friends.
